JOIN ARCHITECT DAVID KOHN, WINNER OF RIBA HOUSE OF THE YEAR
“Ordinary yet quirky, extravagant although utilitarian, the Red House confronts our expectations of a house in a beautiful setting that never wants to settle into being one way or another” Head of the jury & Architect Taro Tsuruta.
A new build house in rural Dorset for an art collector and family. The house sits on the crest of a hill and takes advantage of spectacular views. Inspired by English houses from the arts and crafts to the Smithsons, each room has a tailored relationship to both its landscape setting and the particular way the owners wish to live.
The project was named RIBA House of the Year 2022 in the final episode of the Channel 4 Grand Designs: House of the Year TV series.
