Job | Events & Marketing – Trainee Producer

Are you a budding events producer with digital flair? Are you interested in cities & the Built Environment? We’re looking for a motivated Events & Marketing Trainee Producer to join us & help bring our venue & programmes to life.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Design West is a growing charity.  We have grown significantly over the last 3 years & are now looking to recruit a talented & driven individual to bring our harbourside venue to life & grow our events business both on & off-site.

The new role will work closely with the Digital Designer & CEO – benefitting from their extensive experience & vision. One day you might be bringing a famous writer for a book talk, the next you might be co-ordinating a CPD workshop. 

ABOUT YOU

This role would suit someone who thrives on producing successful events. You’ll enjoy bringing people together & know that attention to detail is essential. You’ll be interested in design, cities & creativity & will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment & venue.  

  • Relevant experience in events, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Strong organisational & multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication abilities
  • (We have a digital designer, but potential for strong copywriting is a must!)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & marketing tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, or Hootsuite.
  • A proactive & hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently & as part of a team.
  • Creativity & an eye for detail to ensure we execute at a high level for audiences & stakeholders.
  • Active use of & enthusiasm for social media is required
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies is a plus
