Green Horizons Workshops: Collaborating for Success

The global challenges of a climate & biodiversity crisis require multi-disciplinary working. Stepping up to meet these challenges means developing new collaborative skills for joint working between built environment professionals.

Based on the highly successful Green Horizons workshops in 2019, Design West & the Landscape Institute are running a series of three workshops to develop the skills needed for effective collaboration, strategic decision-making & communication. Covering clients, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, specialists, and occupiers.

Join us for an immersive workshop in using strategy & policy to shape great places, led by experienced Placemaking Associate & Urban Designer Juliet Bidgood.

How do we respond to shifts in policy in our practice & how in turn can policies & strategies be shaped in response to real experiences? In the second workshop, Juliet will share her strategic experience of major projects, from her beginnings as co-founder of pioneering international feminist art & architecture collaborative (Muf), to over 15 years, leading placemaking projects across the South West with communities, local authorities and professionals. She will discuss how this has shaped her approach to interdisciplinary collaboration & the lessons learned.

The workshop will offer an opportunity to test approaches to engagement & enquiry using participants examples & experiences.
