Shaping places for the future

Design West are working with North Somerset Council, Clevedon Town Council & Nailsea Town Council to shape a vision & shared priorities for the Two Towns – Clevedon & Nailsea.

Bringing together citizens, local businesses, councillors, young people & cultural leaders from both towns to create strategies for the future, & making the Two Towns even better places to live & work.

Over the Autumn & Winter, workshops are taking place across Nailsea & Clevedon with local people gathering to kick off conversations about the challenges & priorities for the future of the towns.

More public engagement will invite citizens from the towns to join the conversation. An online placemaking space, designed with collaboration with students from Weston College, will be the home for the project. Hopes & ideas for the placemaking strategy will gathered through a survey.

Placemaking inspires people to collectively reimagine cities, towns & community spaces. We’re excited to be working with North Somerset Council to shape a shared vision to make the Two Towns even better places to live & work.
